HINILING kahapon ng Metro Manila Council (MMC) sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) na ikonsidera nito ang mas magaang na pagpapatupad ng COVID-19 guidelines para sa mga fully-vaccinated individuals na nasa National Capital Region (NCR) para makabangon ang ekonomiya sa rehiyon na naapektuhan ng pandemya.
“With the NCR being considered right now to be the epicenter of this pandemic and the region with the most number of vaccinated individuals, we are confident that we can find the right balance between safeguarding the public’s health and reviving economy,” ani Abalos.
Lumalabas sa tala sa NCR, na nasa 56% ng population o 5,492,344 individuals na may kumpleto ng COVID-19 vaccine nitong Setyembre 8, samantalang ang 84.21% na populasyon o 8,262,558 individuals ang nakatanggap ng unang dose.
Sa Oktubre aniya ay inaasahang makakamit ang 77.57% o 7,601,685 ng kabuuang populasyon sa Metro Manila na fully-vaccinated.
“The more people who complete their inoculation, the sooner we can achieve population protection. And since the AstraZeneca vaccine has an interval of 12 weeks at most between the first dose and the 2nd dose, we expect 87 percent of the eligible population in NCR to be vaccinated in 3 months time or not later than December 8,” sabi pa ni Abalos.
