Eldrew Yulo puntirya ang ginto sa World Juniors

ELDREW Yulo ang nag-iisa na kinatawan ng Pilipinas sa Artistic Gymnastics Junior World Championships na nakatakda Nobyembre 20 hanggang 24 sa Manila.

Eldrew, ang batang kapatid ng double Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo, ay layunin na umukit ng sariling pangalan at maging isa sa best gymnast sa mundo.“I want to be one of the best junior gymnasts. I want to be one of the top junior gymnasts in the world. That’s why I want to show the world my best,”Sambit ni Yulo.

“For me, this is a major competition. This is my first-ever Junior Worlds, and will also be my last. Since I will be joining the seniors next year,” dagdag nya.

Inihayag rin ni Yulo na nag te-training na siya sa Japan handa para sa Los Angeles Olympics sa 2028.

“It’s also OK to train in the Philippines, but it’s different training in Japan since I am improving fast there. I can see the difference, and I can tell that I can perfect my craft there,” dagdag niya.

Ang 17-year old ay mananateli sa Japan sa susunod na ilang taon.

Para sa Junior World Championships, Very excited si Eldrew ito ang unang pagkakataon na mapapanoud siya ng kanyang pamilya live.

“Yes, this is the first time that my whole family will watch me since because of money they can’t fly to watch me. So this is a big deal for me,”anya.

Yulo ay nagwagi ng silver sa Asian Championship sa vault category.
