MARINDUQUE GOVERNOR’S CUP CHESS TILT AND ARTS CLINIC FOR KIDS

NAKATAKDA ang makasaysayan at markadong kaganapan sa progresibong lalawigan ng Marinduque sa Katimugan.

All roads lead to Boac for chess- playing Marinduquenos and visitors this November.

Philippine Executive Chess Association member – players Engr.Lauro Bautista and Giovanni Buhain, co- founders of Boac Chess Knight League have joined hands in organizing the 1st Marinduque Governor’s Cup Chess tournament to be held at the Boac Convention Center slated on November 9,2022.

The highly anticipated and exciting one-day chess event welcomes participants in open division, young,adult , unrated and pro executive woodpushers in the province that is considered as one of the biggest sports event held at the provincial capital to be presented by no less than Marinduque Governor Presbitero Velasco,Jr. and fully supported by lone District Representative ( former Speaker) Lord Allan Velasco according to Buhain-a known government project contractor in the region.

“ It’s an early Christmas treat by our beloved Governor(Velasco) for his sports loving constituents especially the youth sector with wholehearted backing of our Congressman Lord Allan,”said event coordinator Buhain,a comebacking executive chess player and provincemate of PECA President Dr.Fred Paez.”We organized this momentous sports event to help our youth to be disciplined in their way through playing chess.”he added.

Buhain extended his invitation to the country’s first lady grandmaster WGM Janelle Mae Frayna to grace the historic event as special guest and speaker to motivate and share her inspirational journey and success in international scene . “ BCKL is here to promote chess in the grassroots.Having the support of our local government unit is a great move indeed”, Bautista added.

At stake in the the tournament are trophies and cash prizes fom champion to 10th placer with special prize for top kiddie, female, senior and executive.

Kasabay ng taktakan ng utak at wisyo ay gaganapin din ang isa pang adbokasiya sa larangan naman ng sining – ang GILAS Arts Clinic for Kids na inorganisa ni journalist/visual artist Dani ‘Gilas Simon( ang inyong lingkod) para sa mga Batang Boac Marinduque ( BBM)na may talento at potensyal sa arts na mga Batang Bibo Magdrowing(BBM).

Ngayon pa lang ay nagpapasalamat na ang korner na ito kina Gov,Velasco,Rep Lord Allan,Engr.Bautista at event coordinator G.Buhain sa kanilang natatanging suporta at malasakit para sa mga kabataan… ABANGAN!
