Coun. Alfred Vargas ‘di inaasahang makatatanggap ng IVR Award sa 5th The EDDYS

HINDI inaasahan ni Quezon City Councilor Alfred Vargas na makatatangap ng IVR (Isah V. Red) award sa katatapos na 5th The EDDYS.
“Totally unexpected ang IVR Award na ito. Basta big honor sa akin ang award. And to be included in the ranks of Gretchen (Barretto), Kris (Aquino), ABS-CBN and Kapuso Foundation is just so inspiring and meaningful to me.
“And grabe ah, napaiyak ako sa tribute part kagabi lalo na when I saw Ricky Lo, Ricky Calderon, Shalala, etc,” pahayag ni Coun. Alfred.
Dinagdag pa ng actor-politician na tuwing tumutulong anya siya ay wala siyang ine-expect na kapalit.
“Turo sakin ng Nanay ko, helping others is its own reward. Totoo naman. Napakasarap ng pakiramdam kapag nakakatulong ka sa tao di ba?
Binanggit pa ng nasabing konsehal na kaya raw siguro siya nilagay ni Lord sa public service ay para mas marami pang matulungan along the way.
“Turo sa school noong bata pa ako: “To give and not to count the cost…to labor and ask not for reward,” sey pa niya.
Mas ganado raw ngayon si Konsehal Alfred na paigtingin ang mga projects sa distrito niya dahil sa natamong award.
Sa 2023, balik-pelikula na rin umano si Coun. Alfred at sure na ang paggawa niya ng isang pelikula at kung susuwertehin ay baka tatlo pa ito.
“I even got more inspired seeing the likes of Kuya Ipe, Alma Moreno, Roi Vinzon, etc dedicate their lives and careers for the love of Philippine cinema. I hope one day magaya ko sila. Lalo ang sarap mahalin ng industriya because of great examples like them,” pagtatapos ng actor-politiko.
Ang Isah V. Red Award ay isang pagkilala at pag-aalala sa yumaong founding president ng SPEEd na si Isah V. Red.
“This recognition is given to individuals like him– a dynamic and spirited renaissance man with a deep love for God, country and community–who beyond the realm of entertainment has so enriched and made a difference in the lives of many, in his most colorful, gregarious and inimitable way,” ayon sa SPEEd president na si Eugene Asis.
