Gilas Pilipinas inalay ang panalo sa OFWs sa Hong Kong

LUMABAS ang mga Filipinos sa HongKong upang suportahan ang Gilas Pilipinas habang ang Philippine national men’s basketball team ay nakikipaglaban sa home team para simulan ang kanilang kampanya sa 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers Huwebes.

Habang pinapanoud ng Filipino fans ang Gilas games sa boung mundo ay karaniwan na para sa bagong head coach Tim Cone, Inamin nya na ang suporta ng Overseas Filipino Workers sa Hong Kong ay malaking tulong sa kanilang 96-64 win.

“We always have a crowd and I think that’s a big advantage that we have over other teams,” Wika ni Cone sa press conference pagkatapos manalo kontra Hong Kong.

“We know they had to spend their hard-earned money to watch the game and we truly appreciate them there. I thought they were [one of] the reasons we came out there in the second half, made a couple of nice plays, and they really got cheering hard and it kind of lifted our spirits and got some momentum,” Dagdag pa ng national team coach.
