Following the strong endorsement of Vice President Sara Duterte, millennial senatorial candidate Camille Villar got massive support in Davao Occidental last Thursday.
Camille Villar saw a snowball of support from Mindanao, weeks after she got the backing of the vice-president.
Davao Occidental lone representative Claude Bautista and DUMPER Partylist Rep. Claudine Diana Bautista-Lim endorsed Camille Villar’s bid during the meet and greet with multi-sectoral groups at Tabat Gym in Malita.
Speaking before barangay officials, solo parents, tricycle drivers and operators, senior citizens and the youth, Camille Villar vowed to work for legislation and projects focused on her advocacies such as women empowerment, housing, education, mental health, gender equality, financial literacy, and the promotion of small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs).
She also expressed gratitude for their support.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mainit ninyong pagtanggap. Alam n’yo po sa panahon ngayon, sa panahon na maraming hinaharap na batikos, malaking bagay po ng inyong pinakitang suporta, ang inyong mainit na pagtanggap at pagmamahal na ipinakita n’yo po ngayong hapon sa akin,” she said.
Camille Villar said she is drawing strength from their outpouring support. In return, she also committed to also give her all-out support for the people of Davao Occidental.
