On the last day of the campaign period, AGRI Party-list expressed gratitude to its supporters, volunteers, leaders and staff for their continued trust, as it continued to commit pushing for advocacies which aim to lessen the burden of Filipinos amid rising food prices and costly medical expenses.
It can be recalled that a survey conducted by OCTA Research from April 10 to 16 this year showed that majority of Filipinos or 53% of the respondents would support candidates who pushed for affordable basic goods and services, while 50% preferred candidates who advocated for improving the health care system.
These were followed by strengthening the agriculture sector and achieving food security (47%) and creating more job opportunities (41%).
According to AGRI Party-list, recent poll results also show how its advocacies resonate with Filipinos, saying: “Ang lumalakas pang tiwala at suporta ng mga Pilipino ay tanda na nasa tamang direksyon tayo.”
AGRI Party-list has been championing the rights and welfare of farmers, fisherfolk and local food producers whom it considers as “food security soldiers.”
It can also be recalled that AGRI Party-list, under Lee’s leadership, was the first to expose that PhilHealth had billions of available funds in September 2023. Lee’s persistent efforts resulted in the implementation of PhilHealth’s increased benefits and free medical services.
The said increases include the additional 30% health benefits implemented in February 2024, another 50% increase which started in 2025, free dialysis, free eye check-up and prescription glasses for ages 0-15, free dental care services, expanded coverage for breast cancer treatment, new benefit package for kidney transplant, expanded benefit package for heart ailments, outpatient emergency care services, and removal of PhilHealth’s 45-day hospitalization limit, among others.
For almost three years, AGRI Party-list has filed more than 600 bills and resolutions, and has passed 23 laws.
Among AGRI Party-list’s principally authored legislations that passed into law are Republic Act (RA) No. 11953 or the “New Agrarian Emancipation Act,” RA 11985 or the “Philippine Salt Industry Development Act,” and RA 12022 or the “Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act.”
