INANUNSYO ng Philippine Aquatics, Inc. (PAI) nitong Sabado ang opisyal lineup ng atleta na sasabak sa 47th Southeast Asia (SEA) Age Group Swimming Championships na gaganapin sa Hunyo 19 hanggang 29 sa Singapore.
Ang delegasyon ay pamumunuan ni Jamesray Mishael Ajido, na incoming Grade 10 student mula La Salle Green Hillls matapos magrehistro ng personal best times na 55.40 seconds seconds (100m butterfly), 25.37 (50m butterfly) at 24.13 (50 me freestyle) sa panahon ng PAI tryouts noong Abril.
Kasama ni Ajido sa swimming roster ay sina Albert Jose Amaro II, Ryian Zach Denzel Belen, Alexander Eichler, Ava Samantha Bautista, Kyle Louise Bulaga, Riannah Chantelle Coleman, FJ Catherine Cruz, Sophia Garra at Patricia Mae Santor.
“The tryouts were very challenging because I was competing against 18-year-old swimmers. But I thanked the Lord, I was able to hit two QTS (qualifying time standard),” Wika ng the 16-year-old Ajido.
Na qualified siya sa the World Aquatics Junior Championships sa Romania ngayon Agosto at sa 3rd Asian Youth Games sa Bahrain sa Oktubre.
Nakaraang taon, Ajido ay nagwagi sa boys’ 12–14 100m butterfly sa 11th Asian Age Group Championships na ginanap sa New Clark City Aquatics Center sa Tarlac.
Sa artistic swimming, ang Philippine team ay katawanin ni Maddison Violet Durban, Zoe Lim at Antonia Lucia Raffaele.
Ang men’s water polo team ay binobuo nina Elijah Caleb De Leon, Lance Edrick Adalin, Matthew Cameron Dasig, Julian Christi Malubag, Miel Joaquin Ugaban, Kenzzie Trey Dumanglas, Sebastien Albert Castro, Niklas Joaquin De Guzman, Matthew Vincent Romero, Joaquin Federico Mirasol, Alexandre Gabriel, Dave Russel Geda at Sean Gabriel Enero.
Ferdinand Quilop ang magsilbing head of the delegation, kabilang sina coaches Ramil Lustre at Isagani Corpuz (swimming); Maria Graciella Jasmina Sanchez (artistic swimming); at Sherwin De La Paz at Filip Stojanovic (water polo).
