Botohan para BSKE sa QCJMD, generally peaceful

Generally peaceful – sa ganitong nailarawan ni Quezon City Jail Male Dormitory (QCJMD) Warden JSupt. Michelle Bonto ang ginanap na botohan para s@ barangay sa loob ng pasilidad.

Kung sinabing generally peaceful, ang ibig sabihin ay naging matagumpay ang halalan sa loob ng piitan. Walang ano man nangyaring insidente o kaguluhan sa loob sa pagitan ng mga Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) partikular na ang mga reehistradong botante.

Pinadama rin ng pamunuan ng QCJMD ang laya ng pagboboto sa mga botante…ang layang pumili ng kanilang mga napupusuan o pinagkakatiwalaang iboto o isulat sa balota.

Tama, hindi nakialam ang sino man opisyal ng QCJMD sa pagpipili ng mga botante sa kung sino ang kanilang ibinoto.

Kung naging matagumpay at generally peaceful ang ginanap ang halalan sa pasilidad, aba’y isa lang din ang ibig sabihin pa nito. Ipinairal ni Bonto ang mahigpit na pagbibigay seguridad hindi lamang para sa botante kung hindi para sa lahat ng PDL.

May bago ba dun? Actually, kahit hindi halalan ay talagang mahigpit ang pagbibigay seguridad ni Bonto sa pasilidad para sa kapakanan ng libo-libong PDL.

Ang pinaigting na seguridad ni Bonto sa pasilidad ay bilang tugon sa direktiba Bureau of Jail Management and Penelogy (BJMP) National Capital Region (NCR) Jchief Supt. Clint Russel Tangeres.

Sa direktiba para maging maayos at tahimik ang botohan sa mga pasilidad na nasa ilalim ng BJMP, inilagay ito sa red alert status mula Oktubre 29 hanggang Oktubre 31, 2023 kaugnay sa Barangay Sanggunian Kabataan Election.

Ayon kay Bonto, umaabot sa 1,234 PDL ang registered voters mula sa QCJMD para sa BSKE 2023. Sa nasabing bilang 645 PDL na pinalaya at pinahintulutan makapagboto kung saan silang nakarehistro o sa kani-kanilang voting precint sa kani- kanilang barangay habang ang nalalabing 589 PDL ay nakapagboto naman sa 9 Special Polling Place para sa District 1 to 6 na inihanda ng Commission on Election sa loob ng jail facility.

“Among the preparations carried-out includes conduct of operation plans for election in jails, peace dialogues and information drive to the PDL as to their right of suffrage guaranteed under the 1987 Philippine Constitution, active participation on the 2nd District Joint Security Coordinating Council (DJSCC) spearheaded by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) and the Quezon City Police District Office regularly attended by the QCJMD together with other relevant agencies in order to ensure a peaceful and successful BSKE Election,” pahayag ni Bonto.

“The release from confinement of the 645 registered voters who were former PDL is made possible through the intensified paralegal efforts and decongestion programs of the QCJMD in collaborative partnership with the Quezon City Regional Trial Court and Metropolitan Judges, the Public Attorneys Office (PAO), the Parole and Probation Office, the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), the Quezon City Local Government Unit through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Social Services Development Department (SSDD). The QCJMD releases an average of PDL per week or a total of 240 PDL in a month, through the application of the various modes of releases to help decongest the jail,” dagdag ni Bonto.

Sa resultang naging mapayapa ang ginanap na botohan sa QCJMD, nararapat lang na saluduhan ang mga bumubuo ng QCJMD sa pangunguna ni Jsupt. Bonto. Tiniyak at ginawa nila ang lahat para maging matagumpay ito ..lalo na ang para sa seguridad ng bawat PDL.
