Liquor ban at pagsusuot ng face masks ng mga deboto, ipinag-utos ni Mayor Honey

IPINAG-UTOS ni Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna ang liquor ban sa Quiapo at sa kapaligiran nito mula January 8 hanggang 10 gayundin ang pagsusuot ng face masks sa lahat ng mga deboto na sasali sa ‘Traslacion’ . Hiniling niya rin na huwag ng magdala ng mga bata pati ang mga maysakit upang maiiwas ito sa posibleng pinsala at sinabing pwede namang panoorin ang prusisyon sa ligtas na distansya.

Ang liquor ban, pati na rin ang gun ban, ay ipinag-utos ng alkalde sa rekomendasyon ni Manila Police District chief Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay, at idinagdag din nito na maging ang mga firecrackers ay ipinagbabawal din sa lugar, ito ay base na rin sa kahilingan ng Quiapo Church at fire authorities.

Binigyang direktiba din ng alkalde ang lahat ng local government departments, bureaus at tanggapan na may kinalaman na tiyakin na magampanan nila ang kanilang papel sa pagpapanatili ng ligtas, maayos at mapayapang pagsasagawa ng ‘Traslacion’ sa January 8, 2024.

Partikular din na inutos ni Lacuna ang clearing ng ruta ng prusisyon sa lahat ng uri ng sagabal at panganib tulad ng sanga ng mga kahoy at kable ng kuryente maging ng mga basag na bote, na posibleng maapakan ng mga deboto na maglalakad ng nakapaa lamang.

Iniutos din ni Lacuna ang pag-iinspeksyon ng ruta upang matiyak na libre ito sa mga open manholes at iba pang problema sa kalsada na upang tiyakin na ligtas ang karwahe o andas na magdadala ng imahe ng Itim na Nazareno. Matatandaan na dati ng nakaranas na tumabingi ang Andas ng Itim na Nazareno at nagdulot ng aksidente at hindi inaasahang pagkabalam o delay sa prusisyon.

Nanawagan ang alkalde sa lahat ng deboto na sundin ang payo ng mga church authorities pati na ang bawal at hindi bawal bago at pagkatapos ng event upang maiwasan ang ‘di inaasahang perwisyo o hassle.

Samantala, inilabas na ng alkalde ang traffic advisory na naglalaman ng information sa road closures at rerouting ng mga sasakyan.

Burgos Ave.; Katigbak Drive and South Drive (One Lane Accessible to Manila Hotel and H20 Hotel; Roxas Blvd. from Katigbak to U.N. Ave.; P. Burgos from Roxas Blvd. to Jones, McArthur, and Quezon Bridge; Finance Rd. from P. Burgos Ave. to Taft Ave.; Ma. Orosa St. from TM. Kalaw to P. Burgos Ave.;Taft Ave. from U.N. Ave. to P. Burgos Ave.; Romualdez St. from U.N Ave. to Ayala Blvd.; Ayala Ave. from Taft Ave. to Romualdez St.;C. Palanca St. from P. Casal to Plaza Lacson; P. Casal St. from C. (old truck route); those traveling southbound of Rizal Ave. intending to utilize McArthur Bridge going to south area, shall turn left to CM. Recto Ave., left to Legarda St., to point of destination; vehicles traveling southbound of A. Mendoza St. going to Quezon BIvd., shall turn right to Fugoso St., to Rizal Ave., to point of destination; those traveling westbound lane of España Blvd. going to Quezon Blvd., shall turn left to N. Reyes St., to CM. Recto Ave., to point of destination and vehicles traveling southbound of J. Abad Santos Ave./R. Regente going to Intramuros Area., shall turn right to San Fernando St., left to Madrid St., left to Mulle. Dela Industria to Binondo-Intramuros Bridge to A. Soriano Ave. to point of destination or take Juan Luna St., right to Muelle Dela Industria to Binondo-Intramuros Bridge.

Vehicles coming from A. Mabini St. intending to utilize TM. Kalaw Ave., shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guanzon St. to Mabini Bridge to point of destination while those coming from Ma. Orosa St. intending to utilize TM. Kalaw Ave., shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guazon St. to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.

Those traveling northbound of Taft Ave. going to P. Burgos Ave., shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guanzon St. to Mabini Bridge to point of destination while light vehicles traveling northbound of Roxas Blvd. going to P. Burgos Ave. shall turn right to U.N. Ave., straight to P. Guanzon St. to Mabini Bridge to point of destination.

Trucks and trailers traveling northbound of Roxas Blvd. going to Mel Lopez Blvd. (Pier Area shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave., to Mabini Bridge to point of destination. (old Truck Route) while those traveling northbound of Osmeña Highway going to Mel Lopez Blvd. (Pier Ave.) (ANDI GARCIA)
