FEU wagi vs Ateneo sa UAAP women’s volleyball

PINALAKAS ng Far Eastern University ang kanilang semifinal bid sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 women’s vollleyball tournament matapos ipinta ang 19-25,20-25,25-22, laban sa Ateneo de Manila Univesity sa Mall of Asia Arena sa pasay City Huwebes ng gabi.

Chenie Tagaod at Congo’s Faida Bakanke umiskor ng tig-16 puntos habang si Gerzal Mary Petallo bumakas ng 15, kabilang ang 2 blocks at 14 digs, para sa Lady Tamaraws na nanateli sa fourth place na may 5-4 rekord.

Libero Julianne Monares nagtala ng 20 excelllent digs at 12 receptions,habang si Christine Ubaldo gumawa ng 26 excellent sets at five points.

Nahigop ng Blue Eagles ang kanilang seventh loss na may 3 panalo para sa fifth spot.

University of Santo Tomas (9-1), De La Salle University (8-1) at National University (8-2) ay tiyak na ang selya sa Final Four, Habang maglalaban ang FEU at Ateneo para sa huling spot.

“Proud ako kasi ‘yung pinag-aralan namin, although may lapses, pero natrabaho pa rin talaga ‘yung ginawa namin nung break (I’m proud because what we studied, although there were lapses, but we still really worked on what we did during the break),” Wika ni FEU coach Manolo Refugia.

Lyan Marie Loise De Guzman may 11 attacks, four aces at 17 excellent receptions para sa Ateneo’Sophia Beatriz Buena nagtapos ng 14 attacks para sa Blue eagles, Geezel May Tsunashima bumakas ng 12 points, kabilang ang four blocks, at Alexis Ciarra Miner may 11 points, three on blocks.

Magtatagpo ang FEU at Adamson University sa Martes sa Araneta Colesium sa Quezon City habang ang Ateneo makakaharap ang National University Miyerkules sa Pasay venue.
