JULY 2024 IDINEKLARA NI PBBM BILANG ‘NAT’L CENSUS & CBMS MONTH’

IDINEKLARA ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang July 2024 bilang “National Census and Community-based Monitoring System Month.”

Ito’y bilang suporta sa pagdaraos ng 2024 census of population at CBMS (POPCEN-CBMS) mula July hanggang September 2024.

Batay sa Proclamation No. 627 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na may petsang July 9, inatasan ang National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) sa pamamagitan ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) na pangunahan at pangasiwaan ang paggunita rito.

Inatasan naman ang lahat ng mga ahensya ng gobyerno, kabilang ang government-owned or -controlled corporations (GOCCs) at state universities and colleges (SUCs), na makiisa sa selebrasyon.

Maliban dito, hinihikayat din ang lahat ng local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), professional associations, at pribadong sektor na magbigay ng suporta sa NEDA at PSA.

“All citizens and residents of the Philippines are encouraged to cooperate with the PSA and its census enumerators in the conduct of the 2024 POPCEN-CBMS, by providing truthful and complete information in response to census questions, subject to existing laws, rules and regulations,” saad pa sa proklamasyon.
