INANUNSYO ng Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Martes na kinuha nila ang dating Australian player at coach Alen Stajcic na maging timon ng Philippine women’s national football team.
Palitan ni Stajcic si Marlon Maro, na ginabayan ang nationals sa ikalawang sunod-sunod na AFC Asian Cup appearance matapos walisin ang AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan nakaraang buwan.
“We are thrilled that Alen Stajcic has accepted the position to be the head coach of the Philippine Women’s National Team,” Wika ni PFF president Mariano “Nonong” Araneta.
“His appointment shows the commitment and determination of the PFF to give our women’s national team the best possible chance to qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.”
