La Salle sasabak sa Shakey’s Super League

SASABAK ang De La Salle University Lady Spikers sa inagurasyon ng Shakeys Super League (SSL) 2022 Collegiate Preseason Championship.

Inanunsyo ni Shakey’s Pizza Asia Ventures Inc. (SPAVI) president at CEO Vicente Gregorio matapos ipaalam ng Lady Spikers management ang kanilang paglahok sa tournament.

Ang preseason tilt ay magsisimula sa Setyembre 24 sa Rizal Memorial Colesium.

Ang La salle on board, itatampok ng SSL ang walong teams mula sa UAAP at lahat ng 10 teams mula sa NCAA sa kanilang unang opisyal tournament.

“Shakey’s Super League is obviously elated by this development. For the first time in the history of Philippine volleyball, we have all 10 NCAA teams and all eight UAAP squads coming together under one roof as Shakey’s continues to play its role in amateur grassroots, collegiate student-based sports,” Wika ni Gregorio sa kanyang statement.

“This is our group’s humble contribution to further improve the sports of volleyball in the country,” Dagdag pa nya.

Inaasahan na ipasa ng La Salle ang kanilang line-up ngayon Linggo. Ang Lady Spikers ay galing sa runner-up finish sa UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball tournament.

Ka grupo ang Far Eastern University, NCAA champion De La Salle-College of St. Benilde at Colegio de San Juan de Letran sa Pool D.

Ang Pool A ay binubou ng University of the Philippines, University of the East, Mapua, San Beda University at University of Perpetual Help, Habang ang Adamson University, University of Santo Tomas, San Sebastian College,Emilio Aguinaldo College at Lyceum of the Philippines University ay sa Pool B.

Reigning UAAP champion National University,Ateneo de Manila University,Jose Rizal University at Arellano University ay sa Pool C.

Ang top two teams bawat pool ay uusad sa ikalawang round kung saan hahatiin sa dalawang pools para sa isa pang round robin play para matukoy ang kanilang ranking sa knockout quarterfinals.

Ang semifinal at final ay parehong knockout matches.

Ang SSL ay binou katulong ang Commission on Higher Education. Athletic Events at Sports Management, Inc.(ACES) ang exclusive organizer ng liga.
