Pamimigay ng fuel subsidy okey na sa Comelec

PINABORAN na ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) na ituloy ang pamimigay ng fuel subsidy sa gitna ng ipinapatupad na election spending ban.

“We granted the petition of the LTFRB as regards to fuel the subsidy program. However, the grant of the petition to LTFRB is subject to the strict implementation of the program by submission of information on how the project will be implemented, the parameters of implementation and specially the specific target beneficiaries on how they will apply to avail of the grant of the programs,” ani Comelec Commissioner George Garcia.

Bukod sa LTFRB, ang iba pang ahensya gaya ng Department of Agriculture at Department of Social Welfare and Development na nangangasiwa ng pamimigay ng ayuda ay nararapat ding sumunod sa mga panuntunan ng Comelec.

Nitong Lunes ay itinigil ng LTFRB ang pamimigay ng fuel subsidy dahil sa election spending ban. Sa ngayon, mahigit 110,000 na ang nabigyan ng fuel subsidy. (Josephine Patricio)
