The Parañaque City Government held the second part of Kadiwa ng Pasko on November 29 at the Parañaque City Sports Complex in Barangay San Antonio, Parañaque City.
At least 42 merchants from the city and different parts of the Philippines participated, which sell products ranging from delicacies and snacks to farm products and other basic commodities.
Mayor Eric L. Olivarez said that through this caravan, residents can avail affordable yet quality products. He also expressed his gratitude to First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta Marcos for her donation worth P1,000,000, which is currently allocated to the merchants who participated during the launching of Kadiwa ng Pasko on November 16, the second and the third part of the caravan, where the latter is set to launch on December 12 to 16.
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Asec. Dominic Tolentino Jr. also announced that Parañaque City is among the cities that have successfully implemented Kadiwa ng Pasko in the National Capital Region.
Kadiwa ng Pasko is a project by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., in coordination with the Department of Agriculture, to address the sky-high inflation by bringing affordable basic and prime commodities to the public, especially during the Christmas season.
Also present during the second part of Kadiwa ng Pasko were DTI Asec.
