MARCOS BUMUO NG KOMITE NA TUTUTOK SA INDEPENDENCE DAY

IPINAG-UTOS ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagbuo ng isang inter-agency committee na tututok sa paggunita ng 125th anniversary ng Independence Day and Nationhood.

Sa Administrative Order No. 8 na nilagdaan ng Pangulo, inatasan nito ang komite na pangunahan ang pagpaplano at pagsasagawa ng mga programa at proyekto para sa komemorasyon ng kalayaan.

Ang inter-agency body ay pamumunuan ng National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) bilang chairman habang magiging vic-chair naman ang Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Itinalaga naman bilang mga miyembro ng komite ang Department of Tourism, Department of Education, Department of National Defense, Department of Information and Communications Technology, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Budget and Management, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Transportation, at Metro Manila Development Authority.

Gugunitain naman ang 125th anniversary ng Independence Day and Nationhood mula 2023 hanggang 2026.

Maliban dito, ipinag-utos din ni Pang. Marcos ang pagbuhay sa suporta ng gobyerno sa historical research, pagpapatuloy at pagpapalakas ng mga programa para sa proteksiyon, pag-iingat at pagpapahalaga sa historical relics at memorabilia, monuments, sites at iba pang historical resources.
