HIGIT 700 ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUGS POLICE BALIK HEADQUARTERS!

MAHIGIT 700 police officers na nakatalaga sa 17 Special Operations Units (SOUs) ng Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) ang nakatakdang i-recall at isailalim sa values formation at moral recovery program.

Ayon sa PNP spokesperson, Colonel Jean Fajardo, ipapa-recall ng bagong pamunuan ng PDEG sa ilalim ni Brigadier General Faro Olaguera ang lahat ng SOU personnel sa kasagsagan ng isyu ng pagbuwag sa 17 units nito sa buong bansa.

“According to him (Olaguera), they are now preparing for the possible transport of their personnel here at the National Headquarters (Camp Crame, Quezon City) and they are also preparing for the billeting area for them,” sabi ni Fajardo sa ulat ng Manila Bulletin.

“And should they be transported here at the NHQ, they will be included in the program that is now being prepared and spearheaded by the Directorate for Human Resources and Doctrine Development for them to undergo values formation and moral recovery program and other reorientation courses,” sabi pa ni Fajardo.

Ang pagpabuwag sa SOU ng PDEG ay bunga ng pagkakasangkot ng maraming anti-narcotics police officers sa illegal drugs activities katulad ng recycling at pag-angkin sa mga nahuling iligal na droga.

Bago ito, sinabi ni PNP Chief, General Benjamin Acorda, na kapag naaprubahan ang kanyang proposal, lahat ng operasyon ng PDEG ay COPLAN (case operational plan)-based at lahat ng kampanya laban sa iligal na droga ay italaga sa regional at provincial Drug Enforcement Units.

“Once all the inputs are in, this will be submitted to the Office of the Chief PNP and if approved, it will be submitted to the National Police Commission for review,” pahayag ni Fajardo.
