LTO chief nagbitiw!

NAGBITIW nitong Lunes bilang hepe ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) si Jose Arturo Tugade.

Sa kanyang statement, ipinaliwanag niya ang pagbitiw sa LTO at ang pagkakaiba nila ng Department of Transportation (DOTr) sa public service.

“Even as DOTr and LTO both aim to succeed in serving the public, our methods to achieve that success differ. For this reason, I am stepping down, so Sec. Jimmy Bautista will have the free hand to choose who he can work best with,” sabi ni Tugade.

Siya ay anak ni Arthur Tugade, ang DOTr chief noong panahon ng Duterte administration.

“I will continue to root for the LTO’s success even as a private citizen because I will always share in Sec. Bautista’s belief that our offices can be a formidable force for good in our country,” dagdag niya.

Si Tugade ay naitalaga sa LTO noong November 2022 at naharap sa maraming isyu, kabilang ang shortage ng plastic cards para sa driver’s licenses.
