GINULPI ng Centro Escolar University ang Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda,78-56, sa deciding Game 3 Huwebes ng gabi Mayo 2, para masungkit ang karapatan na makaharap ang back-to-back defending champion EccoOil-La Salle sa Finals ng PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup sa Ynares Sports Arena sa Pasig City.

Sisimulan ng CEU at La Salle ang kanilang best-of-three titular showdown sa Lunes (7:30pm) sa Ynares Sports Arena.

“Every time you beat a team like San Beda, ‘yung feeling na syempre they’re one of the top collegiate programs in the country and CEU is just outside of the UAAP and the NCAA,” Wika ni coach Jeff Perlas.

“It’s really a big morale-booster not just for the players but also for the entire CEU community.”

Team captain Franz Ray Diaz umiskor ng 13 points sa first half. Nagtapos ng team-high 21 points tampok ang 3 rebounds at four assists.

Sa kabilang banda, Abdul-Wahab Olusesi, paulit-ulit pinilit ang kanyang sarili sa gitna para sa rebounds at dunk. Nagtala ng 15 points at humatak ng 28 rebounds (nine offensive boards) at three blocks.

Nakakuha rin ang CEU ng solidong kontribusyon mula kay Daniel Marcelo at Jerome Santos na umiskor ng 14 at 10 points,ayon sa pagkakasunod.

Ang CEU ay nagwagi sa Game 1,75-71 bumawi ang Marinerong Pilipino-San Beda sa Game 2 para ipantay ang series at ipuwersa ang sudden death

Jomel Puno umiskor ng game-high 23 points para pamunuan ang San Beda at isa pang umiskor ng double-digit Bryan Sajonia 12 points.
