NCAA Season 100 ratsada sa Setyembre 7

MAG-UMPISANG depensahan ng San Beda University ang kanilang titulo sa men’s basketball laban sa host Lyceum of the Philippines University sa pagsipa ng National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 100 sa Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena sa Pasay City Sabado.

Ang Red Lions na taglay ang 23 championship ay makakaharap ang Pirates alas 2 ng hapon,habang ang Mapua Cardinals ay makakatagpo ang College of Saint Benilde (CSB) Blazers alas 5 ng hapon.

Ang grand opening ceremony ay ihahatid ang makasaysayang season bitbit ang team , “Siglo Uno: Inspiring Legacies” alas 12 ng tanghali.

“Ten decades have passed and the NCAA continues to grow and flourish, remaining strong and resilient,” Wika ni Lyceum president Roberto Laurel, ang NCAA Season 100 Policy Board president, sa press conference sa MOA Coral Way lobby Martes. “The country’s first athletic collegiate league has already produced many icons and legends who exemplify the league’s 100 years of excellence in sports.”

Sinabi ni Laurel na ang centennial season ay layunin na makilala ang lahat ng tao na naging bahagi ng NCAA journey,“from those who have inspired legacies in the past decades to those who continue to strive for sportsmanship today and tomorrow. Expect this season to be the most exciting yet.”

Binigyan diin ni NCAA management committee (mancom) chair Hercules Callanta, ng Lyceum, ang importansya ng miyembro na sumuporta sa liga.

“We are thrilled to showcase to everyone what is in store for them in this historic centennial year of the NCAA,” Wika ni Callanta.

Ang miyembro ng mancom ay kinabibilangan nina Peter Cayco (Arellano University), Fr. Victor Calvo (Letran), Manuel Raymund Castellano (CSB), Dr. Lorenzo Lorenzo (Emilio Aguinaldo College), Efren Supan (Jose Rizal University), Melchor Divina (Mapua), Atty. Jonas Cabochan (San Beda), Fr. Virgilio Paredes Jr. (San Sebastian College-Recoletos) at Francisco Gusi (University of Perpetual Help).
