Nadakip ang tatlong mataas na lider ng Southern Mindano Regional Committee (SMRC) ng New People Army ng military sa isinagawang operasyon sa Cotabato City.
Kinilala ang mga nadakip na mga rebelde na sina Ruel Villanueva Cabales, alias Aman, Secretary of the SMRC; Catherine Apares Guinoo, alias Dewen, Deputy Secretary at member of the SMRC Executive Committee (EXECOM; at Alma Mae Masalon, alias Memie, NPA-SMRC member.
Ayon kay Maj. Ruben Gadut, spokesperson ng 10 Infantry Division, isinagawa ang operasyon ng mga elemento ng 10th ID sa Mabini St. Bagua 3, Cotabato City, base sa ipinalabas na warrant of arrest sa kasong Illegal Possession, Manufacture, and Acquisition of Firearms, Ammunition, and Explosives,Destructive Arson,Violation Against or Intimidation of Persons, Attempted Murder, Crimes Against International Humanitarian Law Genocide, and Other Crime Genocide, and other Crime Against Humanity ng korte.
