BONG GO AMONG HONOREES AT GAWAD GINTONG SINAG AWARDS

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go was among the individuals recognized at the Gawad Gintong Sinag awards, organized by Leadership for Educational Advancement and Development (LEAD) Philippines–Global, on Saturday, October 17, at the Federation Center in Binondo, Manila.

Go received the Most Outstanding Senator award, which was accepted on his behalf by his representative, Ms. Leah Villalon.

In his message, Go thanked the organizers for the recognition and reiterated that his commitment to public service remains unchanged, with or without awards.

“With or without an award, my duty is to serve the Filipino people. Sipag, pagmamalasakit, at more serbisyo po ang puwede kong ialay,” he said.

Go also congratulated his fellow awardees and acknowledged the efforts of the organizers, led by LEAD Global Chairman Mario Lucero, in recognizing individuals from various fields.

“I would like to commend all the organizers for this meaningful initiative. Your recognition of individuals from diverse fields is a powerful way of celebrating talent, passion, and dedication,” he said.

He added that the recognition reminds him of his continuing responsibilities as a public servant, particularly toward Filipinos who need government assistance.

“This honor inspires me to work harder, serve with greater sincerity, and continue bringing public service closer to the people, especially to the poor, the hopeless, and the needy Filipinos,” he said.

LEAD Philippines–Global brings together educators, leaders, researchers, and advocates committed to advancing education through leadership, excellence, autonomy, and diversity.

Go also encouraged his fellow awardees to continue contributing to their respective communities and use their platforms to inspire others.

“I encourage you to continue striving for excellence and use your platforms to inspire others,” he said.

He concluded his message by reiterating the importance of helping others whenever possible.

“Mga kababayan ko, minsan lang po tayo dadaan sa mundong ito. Kung ano man po ang tulong na maibibigay natin sa ating kapwa, gawin na po natin ngayon. Ako po ang inyong Senator Bong Go, patuloy na magseserbisyo dahil bisyo ko po ang magserbisyo,” he said.
