VP SARA ‘NILAYASAN’ NG KANYANG MGA OPISYAL!

ILANG opisyal mula sa Office of the Vice President nitong Martes, Nobyembre 5, ang muling inisnab ang House inquiry hinggil sa kuwestiyunableng paggastos ng kanilang opisina sa bilyong halaga ng confidential at intelligence funds, na nagsasabing ang mga deliberasyon ay “is not in aid of legislation”.

Nagsumite ang mga opisyal, kasama ang pitong OVP officials na unang inisyuhan ng subpoena ng House Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability, ng dokumento upang ipaliwanag ang kanilang hindi pagdalo sa pagdinig ng Kongreso nitong Martes.

“We observed that the subject matter of the proceedings has substantially changed, and discussions are no longer germane to the original matter for referral,” saad pa ng OVP.

“This provides an unfair setting for resource persons… It is akin to a violation of their rights to due process for lack of proper notice of the definite scope of their appearance,” ayon pa sa OVP.

Sinabi rin sa dokumento mula sa OVP na hindi pa natatanggap ng mga sumusunod na personalidad ang subpoena mula sa Kamara na sina: Atty. Zuleika T. Lopez, Chief of Staff ng OVP; Atty. Lemuel G. Ortonio, Assistant Chief of Staff at Chairperson ng Bids and Awards Committee ng OVP; Atty. Rosalynne L. Sanchez, Director for Administrative and Financial Services ng OVP; Gina F. Acosta, Special Disbursing Officer ng OVP; Julieta Villadelrey, Chief Accountant ng OVP; Edward D. Fajarda, Special Disbursing Officer ng Department of Education na ngayon ay nasa OVP; at Atty. Sunshine Charry A. Fajarda, dating Assistant Secretary ng DepEd.

Napag-alamang si Lopez ay umalis na patungong Los Angeles, California Lunes ng gabi, sakay ng PAL flight PR102. Umalis siya sa kabila ng may naka-pending na subpoena at bago maisyuhan ng hold departure order.
