Yulo swak sa vault, floor exercise finals sa World Championships

PASOK ang Filipino Olympian na si Carlos Yulo sa finals ng men’s vault at floor exercises events Lunes sa 53rd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships sa Jakarta, Indonesia.

Nangibabaw si Yulo sa men’s vault na may 14.750 points, sinundan ng Armenian Arthur Davtyan (14.566) at Ukrainian Nathan Chepurnyi (14.316) sa Subdivision 7 sa Indonesia Arena.

Sa floor exercise, umiskor siya ng 14.560 points para sa second place sa likuran ni Fil-British Jake Jarman (14.700). American Kameron Nelson (14.30) ranked third.

“First of all, I want to thank God for my performance. I am also just grateful that I was safe (from any mishap). I am just really grateful that I got to compete, show my performance, and come back here in a good state,” Wika ni Yulo, na napanalunan ang parehong event sa 2024 Paris Olympics.

Yulo, na kasalukuyang nagpapagaling ng wrist injury, ay sasabak sa floor exercise finals sa Biyernes at vault kinabukasan.

“We’re proud that Carlos was able to perform well and make it to the finals of both events. This was our aim so hopefully, he will duplicate his golden performances in Paris,” Sambit ni Gymnastics Association of the Philippines President Cynthia Carrion.

Juancho Miguel Besana pang 39th sa all-around na may 68.645 points; Ivan Cruz placed 66th sa vault na may 12.000 points,habang si Justine Ace de Leon nagtapos 45th sa rings na may 12.200 points.
