DALAWANG JAPANESE FUGITIVES IDINEPORT NG BI-FSU

Matapos maaresto ng Bureau of Immigration-fugitive search unit (BI-FSU), dalawang puganteng Hapon ang pina-deport sa Tokyo, bilang bahagi ng pagsisikap na malansag ang mga transnational criminal syndicates sa bansa.

Kinilala ni FSU chief Rendel Ryan Sy ang deportees na sina Takeuchi Kazuo, 57 at Nishiwaki Yutaka, 44, na kapwa pina-deport lulan ng Japan Airlines flight patungong Tokyo.

Ayon kay Sy, si Takeuchi ay dinakip July 2023, matapos sabihin ng Japanese authorities na nagtatago ito sa Pilipinas dahil wanted ito sa Sage Summary Court sa kasong ‘robbery resulting in bodily injury and theft.’

Nishiwaki, on the other hand, was arrested by BI operatives in January this year, in a joint operation with the National Police Agency of Japan and the Philippine National Police. He was wanted by the Tokyo Summary Court for theft after allegedly posing as a law enforcement officer to deceive elderly victims into surrendering their ATM cards and personal banking information, allowing his group to steal funds through unauthorized withdrawals,” ayon pa kay Sy.

Kinilala umano ng Japanese authorities si Nishiwaki bilang miyembro ng notorious “Luffy” syndicate, isang transnational criminal organization na umano ay nakalikom ng higit ¥1 billion sa pamamagitan ng theft, fraud at iba pang iligal na aktibidad habang nago-operate sa Pilipinas. (JERRY S. TAN)
