“For the sports, events that do not require PPE may probably start. Like swimming, an athlete cannot swim with face mask or face shield. Good thing, swimming pools has its own disinfectant because it is maintained by acid and chlorine,” wika ni Padiz sa panayam. “Sports with social distancing and using gloves and face shield will do like baseball and softball and all the track events because there is certain distance among its athletes.
“Basketball has been allowed but that is the most contact sport that can have droplets if a player is a carrier of the virus,” saad ng naging Sports Director ng De La Salle University STC Campus ng higit sa isang dekada gayundin bilang Speaker ng Asian Council of P.E. and Sports (ACPES). “But why is it basketball allowed? Because of it’s economic gain, business or popularity? If that so, we are not really sincere in fighting Covid-19. I am not saying that we need to stop basketball. If it has been allowed, why not the other safer sports like swimming, baseball, softball, sepak takraw, cycling, shooting, gymnastics, badminton, tennis, archery, athletics and other events that has certain safe distance at all?,” litanya ni Padiz-kasalukuyang CPO/PCO Management Consultant of Sports & Recreation WaterParks and Resort.
“The responsibility to learn a lot is shared by both whereas in modular learning effectively depends mainly on the student’s discipline and diligence to study and research on their own.
Both are worth doing than no learning at all. Face to face classes for me is not an option at this time,” saad pa ni Padiz, proud son ng founder at Father of Philippine Sepak Takraw at prime mover ng Sports and P.E. na si namayapang (Master) Servillano Padiz – author ng MAPEH books na ginagamit sa public schools sa bansa.(Danny Simon)
