Inagurasyon ni BBM: June 30, dineklara ni Isko na holiday sa Maynila

PARA bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mamamayan at ang lahat ng residente ng kabisera ng bansa na masaksihan ang inagurasyon ni incoming President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., ay ideneklara ni Mayor Isko Moreno ang June 30, 2022 bilang holiday.

Ang presidential inaugural ceremonies ni Marcos, Jr. bilang 17th Chief Executive Pilipinas ay gagawin sa June 30 sa National Museum ng Old Legislative Building ng Pilipinas.

Ito ay matatagpuan sa Padre Burgos Avenue sa Ermita, Manila, na siyang dating lugar ng Old Congress at isang pangunahing kalye sa lungsod.

Ang makasaysayang gusali ay nagsilbi na ring lugar kung saan ginanap ang inagurasyon ng mga dating Presidente na sina Manuel L. Quezon noong 1953, Jose P. Laurel noong 1943 at Manuel Roxas noong 1946.

“To ensure the safety, security and protection of participants to this momentous event, the city government of Manila, in coordination with the concerned agencies of the national government, has to close various thoroughfares in and around the perimeter of the inaugural venue which will undeniably affect the flow of traffic of both motorists and the riding public,” sabi ni Moreno sa kanyang Executive Order No. 53, Series of 2022 na nilagdaan noong June 22.

“It is but fitting and proper to declare Thursday a special non-working holiday throughout the city as well as order the Manila Presidential District and all law enforcement officers, including barangay officials, to strictly adopt and implement secrurity measures on said date,” sabi pa sa EO ng alkalde.

Ayon kay Moreno ay mabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang bawat isa na masaksihan ang mahalagang pangyayaring ito sa kasaysayan ng bansa. (ANDI GARCIA)
