Serye ng province wide events ni House Speaker Romualdez sa Leyte naging matagumpay!

Naging matagumpay ang ginawang serye ng pagbisita ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa mga ongoing infrastructure projects sa lalawigan ng Leyte kasabay ng pamamahagi nito ng cash aid sa mga qualified constituents.

Madaling araw ng Huwebes ng lumapag sa Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport na mas bantog sa pangalang Tacloban City Airport na kung saan si house Speaker Romualdez ang siyang First Dist Representative.

While there, Speaker Romualdez took the opportunity to inspect the construction of the new airport terminal grounds together with CAAP Acting Director General Manuel Antonio Lara Tamayo and other concerned officials.



Speaker Romualdez then proceeded to the Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) auditorium to witness the payout and distribution of cash aid to 515 grantees under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers or TUPAD program and Negosyo Karts, both projects under the Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE).

“Nagta-trabaho po kami nina Cong. Jude (Acidre) at Cong. Yedda (Marie K. Romualdez) ng Tingog party-list sa Kongreso araw-araw para makahanap ng maayos na programa para sa inyo. Iyun po ang trabaho natin, pagkagising sa umaga nag-iisip at naghahanap tayo kung ano ang puwedeng maibigay at madala sa ating constituents sa First District, sa probinsiya at buong rehiyon,” ani Speaker Romualdez matapos ang ginawang pamamahagi ng aabot sa P2.562 milyon para sa 515 TUPAD beneficiaries.

“Hangarin ng representatives sa Tingog party-list na magdala ng maayos na programa at proyekto. Tuloy-tuloy ang pagdating ng mga programa sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.,” pahayag pa ni Speaker Romualdez.

A total of 110 people benefitted from TUPAD program in Tacloban City, 205 beneficiaries from Alang-alang town, and 100 people each from the municipalities of Babatngon and Sta. Fe.

Thirty people benefitted from the Nego-Kart livelihood project.



Joining Speaker Romualdez in this event were Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez, Sta. Fe Mayor Amparo Monteza, EVSU officer-in-charge Dr. Analyn C. Españo, DoLE Regional Director Henry John Jalbuena, and their respective local government officials, officers and staff.

After the distribution, Speaker Romualdez went straight to his residence called NIPA Hut to join local officials led by Mayor Romualdez, governors, mayors, Congress representatives, vice-mayors and councilors to discuss local issues.

After the luncheon meeting, Speaker Romualdez inspected the construction of the Bypass Road in Tacloban City with DPWH Regional Director Edgar Tabacon, DPWH Assistant RD David Adongay, DPWH district engineers Adelfa Bonifacio and John Acosta, and other officials.

The Speaker also went to Gov. Benjamin T. Romualdez General Hospital in Palo, Leyte to witness the turnover of hospital equipment such as beddings and hygiene kits.

Hospital officials led by Medical Center Chief Lyn Verona and Dr. Shena Jo Capucion, Office of Civil Defense Regional Director Byron Torrecarion and other hospital personnel joined the event.

Speaker Romualdez also held an inspection of the Storm Surge Protection Project in Payapay, San Jose in Tacloban City.

“I am glad that everything that we fought for in Congress for our province and Region VIII are slowly coming to fruition. We look forward to more projects in the future for the benefit of all our constituents in Leyte and Region VIII,” dagdag pahayag pa ni Speaker Romualdez. (Cesar Barquilla)
