“It would be more in keeping with decorum and delicacy if the House prosecutors would just put a sock in their mouths, so to speak, and do their jobs when the trial begins. They should take heed of the saying that a loudly gurgling stream is the most shallow.”

Ito ang inihayag ni Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, Deputy National Spokesman ng Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP), patungkol sa mga pahayag ng House impeachment prosecutors kamakailan lamang na naniniwala umano silang malakas ang mga kasong inihain nila laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

“If the House prosecutors are truly confident of their case, then why say that the presiding officer is pivotal to whether or not the Vice-President will be convicted or not?”, ani Topacio.

Dagdag pa nito: “If the Impeachment case is strong, then they should be indifferent as to who the presiding officer will be. Or do they know something we don’t with respect to a continued collusion of the House with the Executive that resulted in the recent fiasco in the Senate? Are they saying that Malacanang will continue meddling in the affairs of the Senate to influence the Impeachment trial?.”

“The statements of the House prosecutors, led by the beauteous Gerbil Luistro, regarding the Senate, have been ominous from the start, beginning from their overt recognition of the Gatchalian bloc when the legality of its election was very much in doubt, to the continuous, extensive and tasteless propaganda blitz that the prosecutors and their puppet talking heads have been waging since the articles of Impeachment were transmitted to the Senate,” ayon pa kay Topacio.
