A significant chapter unfolds as Viva brings to life the adaptation of Our Yesterday’s Escape, the sixth and final installment of Gwy

Saludes’ wildly popular University Series on Wattpad, which has amassed over 720 million reads worldwide.

Following the journey that began with The Rain in España, and continued through Safe Skies Archer, Chasing in the Wild, Avenues of the Diamond, and Golden Scenery of Tomorrow, the highly anticipated Our Yesterday’s Escape premieres September 5 only on Viva One.

Jairus Aquino and Nicole Omillo are back as Shan and Kierra, two individuals shaped by vastly different upbringings, yet bound by the same emotional scars.

Kierra is an architecture student who still believes in picture-perfect love despite a painful past. Shan, on the other hand, is a psychology student who grew up disillusioned by love, choosing instead, a commitment-free and party-boy lifestyle.

When their paths cross unexpectedly, what begins as a one-time affair evolves into a years-long cycle of conflict and romantic tension. Together, they slowly confront their old wounds and opposing views on love, while holding on to the promise of tomorrow.

However, the past refuses to stay behind. When the source of Kierra’s trauma resurfaces, everything she has fought to rebuild is put at risk, putting Shan to stand by her side in a fight not just for love, but also for justice.

Directing the series is Gino M. Santos, who continues his streak of bringing contemporary romance stories to the screen with depth and sincerity. Known for helming previous University Series adaptations (Avenues of the Diamond, Safe Skies Archer) and romantic films (In Between, Men are From QC, Women are From Alabang, Ex with Benefits), Santos lends his distinct touch to this last installment, shaping a story that resonates with today’s generation.

Joining Nicole and Jairus in the cast are seasoned actors including Mon Confiado, Dominic Ochoa, Angelu de Leon, Anjo Yllana, Bernadette Allyson, Yayo Aguila, Michael Flores, Jan Marini, and Cris Villanueva, among others, with each playing characters vital to Kierra and Shan’s story.
