NAKILALA namin nang personal si Andrew Ramsay, ang younger brother ni Derek Ramsay sa screening ng director’s cut ng Living in the Dead of Night sa Cinema 76 sa Anonas, Quezon City; sa gabi ring iyon ang media launch ng CUTAWAY Productions na isang full-service production company na siyang producer ng Living in the Night of Dead na ang director ay si David Olson.
Si David rin ang isa sa mga founder ng CUTAWAY at current head of operations ng kumpanya.
Bukod kay Andrew ay nasa Living in the Dead of Night rin sina Andre Miguel at Anne Gauthier Nieves.
Bilang director of sales at isa sa mga may-ari ng CUTAWAY Productions si Andrew.
“So si Michael Stamati at si Warren Carman I’ve known them since I was in fourth grade. And we’ve always had the passion of putting a production company and then along the way when we actually registered CUTAWAY as a company we discovered David also.
“So he came as an editor muna,” kuwento ni Andrew tungkol sa tatlo pa niyang katuwang sa CUTAWAY Productions.
“And then he, direk David, said he wanted to pitch us Living in the Dead of Night and we fell in love with the idea kasi we wanted to take a risk, e.
“We didn’t want to follow the formula that everyone’s used to here. We wanted to present something different. It’s a bit too artsy, people might get shocked but it’s something new and something maybe the international film festival might appreciate.”
Tinanong namin si Andrew kung paano maging nakababatang kapatid ni Derek ramsay.
“Yung feeling? It feels wholesome to be honest. It’s very wholesome, he’s very supportive kasi sinabi niya dati na, ‘If you wanna get into this,’ sabi niya, ‘do it on your own muna. Try to make more content by yourself and then let’s see if the content is good.’
“If it’s good then ipo-promote ni kuya.”

BUKOD sa pagiging pagiging isang entrepreneur/music and concert producer sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Excellence production company ay si Tommie Mopia ang nagmamay-ari ng TGM Group of Companies Inc., St. Anthony Hospice, CB Hospice, Tram Hospice, Quad Care Hospice at ng Comprehensive Healthcare Services na nakabaseng lahat sa US.
Ang una niyang na-produce na malakihang show ay ang concert sa US ni Jake Zyrus na dating kilala bilang si Charice Pempengco; sila raw ang unang team na nakapagdaos ng isang physical concert habang may pandemya ng COVID-19.
Dalawang beses naipag-produce ni Tommie ng concert si Charice nito lamang ng November 2021, sa Los Angeles at sa Orange County, kung saan guest ni Jake ang award-winning Filipino-American musical director, keyboardist at producer na based din sa Los Angeles, California na si Troy Laureta at Filipina-American Pop/R&B singer at songwriter na si Cheesa Laureta.
Kinumusta namin kay Tommie ang reception ng mga tao kay Jake sa concert nito.
“Well, I mean for me as a producer and it’s my first time doing it, a concert for Jake Zyrus, well the people welcomed him as Jake Zyrus but of course, “I mean you know, no questions asked, people really asked for like well, if it’s better if she stayed Charice and this and that but of course, I mean you know it’s his different personality now, he has his own talent as Jake Zyrus and people love that.
“So I mean it’s a mixed reaction from people.
“But people love him as Jake Zyrus and people loved her when she was Charice but it was a good outcome, it was a full-packed concert, I even have to refuse people to go in because it’s a very small, very intimate concert that we did so…”
Ipinag-produce na rin ni Tommie ng concert sa US si Jed Madela nitong July 30 na isang soldout concert at susunod naman si Ethel Booba sa September 18.
“So we’re bringing two legs here in Los Angeles, with Garth Garcia too, Starlink Promotions and with Coco Productions with Cory Miranda.”
Si Garth ay dating finalist sa Star in A Million at ngayon ay sa Amerika na rin naka-base bilang isang performer; bukod dito ay nanalo na rin si Garth sa Star Awards for Music ng PMPC bilang New Male Recording Artist of the Year noong 2015 at Best Male R&B Artist of the Year noong 2021.
Samantala, tatanggap si Tommie ng Parangal bilang Outstanding Young Enterpreneur of the Year mula sa GAWAD AMERICA 2022.
