NU, La Salle panata na depensahan ang UAAP volleyball titles

ANG National University (NU) at De La Salle University (DLSU) ay parehong determinado na mapanateli ang kanilang kanya-kanyang titulo sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 collegiate volleyball tournament na magsisimula sa Pebrero 17, sa SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Puntirya ng NU ang kanilang ika-limang sunod sunod na men’s crown at alam ni coach Dante Alinsunurin na ang kanyang players ay sabik na makamit muli ang titulo.

“We just have to continue our good performance last year. I always remind my players to do their best,” Wika ni Alinsunurin sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 86 collegiate volleyball press conference sa Coral Way Lobby ng SM Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City Lunes.

Samantala, ang DLSU lady Spikers ay pakay ang kanilang 13th title overall.

“We’ll try to keep the title,” Sambit ni La Salle assistant coach Noel Orcullo. “We’re the defending champion so all the teams are after us.”

Present rin sina Ateneo women’s head coach Sergio Veloso, Far Eastern University coach Manolo Refugia, Adamson assistant coach Bang Pineda, NU team manager Gelina Luceño, University of Santo Tomas assistant coach Yani Fernandez, University of the Philippines coach Oliver Almadro at University of the East coach Jerry Yee.

Iba pang isport na nakalendaryo sa second semester ng liga ay ang football, baseball, softball, fencing, tennis, 3×3 basketball, exhibition events in esports, at ang demonstration event para sa junior high school basketball.

“The UAAP continues to evolve, and we are thrilled to present a dynamic second-semester sports lineup. These events showcase the talent, determination, and sportsmanship of our student-athletes. We invite fans to join us on this exciting journey and witness the incredible feats that our universities bring to the playing field,” Wika ni UAAP President Rodrigo Roque ng UE.

Ang laro ay gaganapin tuwing Miyerkules, Sabado, at Linggo — dalawa sa men’s division simula alas 10 ng umaga at dalawa sa women’s division alas 2 ng hapon per playdate.
