China’s capital city ng Beijing ang maging host ng World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) s susunod na taon.
Mahigit 1,000 athletes mula sa 200 bansa at rehiyon ang inaasahan na lalahok sa six-day event, na gaganapin sa China sa ikatlong pagkakataon. Ang 2006 edition ay ginanap sa Shanghai at ang 2018 edition sa Hangzhou.
Ang patalastas ay ginawa sa panahon ng World Aquatics General Congress kasabay ng World Aquatics Championship at World Aquatics Masters Championships sa Singapore.
Ang Beijing ay kilala sa kahusayan sa hosting top-level kumpetisyon. Ito ay unang lungsod na nag host ng Summer at Winter Olympic at Paralympic Games noong 2008 at 2022, ayon sa pakakasunod.
Beijing ay nakatakda ring mag host ng World Aquatics Championships sa 2029.
“We are thrilled and deeply honored to host the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) in 2026 in Beijing, a city with a proud Olympic history and a passion for aquatic sports,” Wika ni China Swimming Association president Zhou Jihong sa press statement sa World Aquatics official website Martes.
China ay nag host ng 109 World Aquatics events, kabilang ang 2011 World Aquatics Championships sa Shanghai.
“I can’t wait to compete at the World Swimming Championships in Beijing,” Wika ni Pan Zhanle, ang World at Olympic champion at men’s 100m freestyle long-course world record-holder.
