Umalma si Janine Gutierrez sa panawagan ni Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ Dela Rosa para sa suporta ng publiko kaugnay ng mga usapin tungkol sa kumpirmadong arrest warrant mula sa ICC (International Criminal Court).

Binigyang-diin ng senador ang katapatan sa gobyerno at sa sambayanang Pilipino sa kanyang panawagang humingi ng suporta mula sa publiko.

Ngunit kinuwestiyon ito ng aktres, at sinabing ang mga biktima umano ng extrajudicial killings ay iniuugnay sa war on drugs.

Dahil sa kanyang naging pahayag, muling nabuhay ang diskusyon online tungkol sa hustisya, pananagutan, at tiwala ng publiko.

Ani Bato, “At the end of the day, I am a Filipino, President Marcos Jr. is a Filipino, and he is our president. So I think I deserve some support coming from this government.”

“Trabaho naman talaga ng gobyerno ‘yan na protektahan ‘yung kaniyang mga citizens. Hindi lang ito para sa akin, para sa lahat ng Pilipino ito… We deserve the support of this government,” dagdag pa ni Bato.

Kinuwestiyon ni Janine ang apela ng senador.

“Woooow now he’s saying he’s a Filipino and he needs our support. What about all the Filipinos and families that were victims of your EJK?” wika ng aktres.

“They deserve justice,” aniya pa.

“The Filipino people deserve better,” patuloy pa niya.

Some praised Gutierrez for speaking out, while others defended the senator’s remarks and his call for government backing.
