“An interdiction operation involving members of the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) led to the discovery of the suspected illegal drugs which were initially detected during cargo X-ray screening by BOC-NAIA personnel, followed by K-9 paneling by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and subsequent manual inspection,” ani Mapa.

“Members of the NAIA-IADITG will turn over the seized substances to the PDEA National Office in Quezon City for proper disposition ane PDEA will take cognizance of the case for further investigation and appropriate action,” ayon kay Mapa.

(JERRY S. TAN)
