Representative Brian Raymund Yamsuan has remained as the No.1 choice of voters to represent Parañaque City’s 2nd district in the upcoming May 2025 elections and even widened his lead over potential fellow contenders in the latest survey conducted by the RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD).
RPMD’s latest Boses ng Bayan survey conducted from July 1 to July 10 show Yamsuan leading a four-candidate race for the congressional seat in Parañaque’s District 2 with 55 percent support, a substantial 13-percentage point increase over the previous 42 percent he registered in RPMD’s first-quarter poll.
“Muli akong nagpapasalamat sa matibay na suportang patuloy na pinagkakaloob ng mga kapwa ko Parañaqueno sa 2nd District. Ang inyong tiwala at suporta ang nagbibigay lakas at inspirasyon sa akin na patuloy na maghatid ng de-kalidad na serbisyong karapat-dapat na maibigay sa mga Parañaqueño,” Yamsuan said.
“I am once again thankful for the strong support that my fellow Parañaquenos in the 2nd District have continued to give me. Your trust and support gives me the strength and inspiration to continue delivering quality service that Parañaquenos deserve.)
Among Yamsuan’s initiatives for Parañaque’s 2nd District are his Extra Rice Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), Sports Facilities Improvement Program, medical missions in the barangays, and the distribution of school supplies to elementary and high school students in public schools.
In the aftermath of supertyphoon Carina, Yamsuan and his team have also quickly mobilized to distribute relief goods and carry out simultaneous feeding programs for evacuees of Parañaque’s flooded barangays,
Yamsuan’s lead of 55 percent whittled away 10 points from incumbent Representative Gus Tambunting’s 35 percent in the 1st quarter RPMD survey. As a result, Tambunting now has only 25 percent support in the July survey.
City Councilor Rico Golez’s support of 12 percent in the 1st quarter survey was shaved by 4 percent to just 8 percent in the July poll. The inclusion of lawyer Josef Maganduga’s name in the July survey showed him getting 6 percent of the support from 2nd District voters.
This latest Boses ng Bayan survey involved 1,200 respondents from Parañaque’s 2nd District, with a margin of error of 3 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent, according to RPMD Executive Director Dr. Paul Martinez.
As the legislator currently representing the Bicol Saro Partylist in the 19th Congress, Yamsuan also retained his No. 2 spot in RPMD’s latest Boses ng Bayan survey of Top Performing Partylist Representatives.
“Taos puso ang pasasalamat namin ng Bicol Saro Partylist sa lahat ng mga kababayan nating sumuporta at nagtiwala. Makakaasa kayo na patuloy naming tutugunan ang mga hinaing ng bayan. Dios mabalos!” Yamsuan said.
(Bicol Saro extends its heartfelt thanks to all our countrymen who supported and trusted us. Rest assured that we will continue to respond to the grievances of the people. Thank you very much!)
Yamsuan , a first-termer in Congress, garnered a high performance rating of 89.4 percent in the RPMD survey for partylist representatives conducted from June 1 to June 10, 2024.
Earlier, Yamsuan was also named by RPMD as its Outstanding Public Servant for 2023.
