The OPM Friends Show on March 27 at Newport Theatre

I saw during the wake for Nina Mendez Aquino (loving mom of my dear friend Jackie Aquino-Gavino) at Mt. Carmel Shine in New Manila, Quezon City Anna Ylagan who was busy attending to some details for the mass for the late Tita Popsy as I fondly call her.

Anna is the daughter of actress Barbara Perez and my relative actor Robert Arevalo (we had an exchange of communication when they had a TV shoot for GMA Network near my house in Fairview, Quezon City).

Anna just informed me of a forthcoming show on 27 March 2026 entitled “GROOVIN’ THE GREATEST HITS” at 8 pm, Friday, at the Newport Performing Arts Theater at Resorts World in Pasay City.

The OPM Friends performers include Celeste Legaspi, Pat Castillo, my favorite Leah Navarro, Pinky Marquez, Mitch Valdes, Bo Cerrudo, Nanette Inventor and Ding Mercado (who I featured years ago in National Midweek Magazine).
