‘THE SINGLEHANDED JOURNEY’ NI PASTOR ARCHIE BAZARTE INILUNSAD

Naging matagumpay ang paglulunsad ng aklat na naglalaman ng kuwento ng buhay ng isang tao na naligaw ng landas at tiyak na kapupulutan ng aral ng ating mga kababayan.

Ang libro na pinamagatang “The Singlehanded Journey” ay sinulat ni Pastor Archie Isales Bazarte.

Inilunsad ito sa Baguio Convention Center sa lungsod ng Baguio nitong Huwebes, Enero 12.

Nagbigay ng napakagandang mensahe si Bazarte sa book launching at aniya’y umaasa siyang makakatulong ito ng malaki sa mga readers.

Nagpasalamat din si Pastor Archie sa Book of Life Publications sa Las Piñas City, sa kanyang buong pamilya, at siyempre, sa kinaaaniban nilang The City of the Lord Church.

Ang aklat ay naglalaman ng kuwento ng buhay ni Pastor Wilbert Butial na sinasabing dating drug pusher.

Noong kanyang kabataan, nagmamaneho ng dyipni si Butial habang ginagawa rin nitong sideline noon ang pagbebenta at paggamit ng ipinagbabawal na droga.

Habang nagda-drive, nagmamadali raw sa gagawin nilang drug session si Butial na nagdulot sa kanya ng trahedya.

Bumaliktad ang minamanehong dyipni ni Butial at naipit ng manibela ang kanyang braso kaya’t naputol ito.

LETTER: AN EMBARRASSMENT TO GOVT’S SUCCESS IN DEFEATING CPP-NPA-NDF

“Dear Sir/Ma’am, I am a Filipino citizen and would like to express my intention and thoughts on the possibility that the Norwegian Government will spearhead the resumption of Peace Talks between the Philippine Government and the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).

For more than five decades, this group has been my country’s primary perpetrator of atrocities. There are numerous incidents of killing, bombing, and utilizing landmines against government troops and innocent civilians.

Resuming peace talks with the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) would be a betrayal of the Filipino people and an embarrassment to the Government’s success in defeating the group.

Peace Negotiations had been done year in and year out, yet something had yet to be accomplished for so many years. The goal of ‘negotiation’ is to buy time to reinforce a position—military, political, social, or economic—and to wear down, frustrate, and harass the state and its security forces.

Therefore, as a citizen, I would like to appeal to the Norwegian Government to do away with peace negotiations for CPP-NPA-NDF and the Philippine Government.

I strongly oppose this action because it would only derail the efforts of our government to end the problem with this group.” – Shermaine Anacleto
