James Yap kandidatong konsehal sa 1st district ng San Juan

OPISYAL na naghain ng kanyang certificate of candidacy (COC) nitong Martes si PBA superstar James Yap bilang konsehal sa first district ng San Juan.
Ang Rain or Shine guard ay tatakbo sa ilalim ng ticket ni incumbent Mayor Francis Zamora, na hangad ang re-election, pati na rin si Vice Mayor Warren Villa.
Hindi lang siya ang basketball player sa ticket ni Zamora ang dating pro Paul Artadi ay tatakbo rin na konsehal sa first district, habang si Don Allado ay tatako sa second district.
Ito ang unang pagkakataon na papasok sa politika si Yap, tiniyak ni Zamora na ang dating PBA Most Valuable Player has “ Enthusiasm to serve”.
“A lot of people idolize him, especially the youth. He came from humble beginnings. He himself is a success story,” Wika ni Zamora patungkol kay Yap.
“‘Yung ganoong life story is a source of inspiration. That I feel is his biggest strength. He can be a big influence in our anti-drug programs and advocacies for the younger generation,” Dagdag pa nya.
Ang paghain ni Yap ay ilang araw matapos masibak ang Rain or Shine Elasto Painters sa 2021 PBA Philippine Cup, natalo sa Magnolia sa quarterfinals.
