Navy cadets sinako ang 200m golds sa ROTC Games Luzon leg

WINALIS nina Philippine Navy cadets John Andre Ponce at Faye Jemima Domingo ang gold medals sa 200-meter events ng Reserved Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Games Luzon leg sa Cavite State University (CAVSU) Don Severino delas Alas campus track oval Lunes.

Ponce, na BS marine Transportation sophomore sa University of Cagayan Valley sa Tuguegarao City, may oras na 23.8 seconds sa men’s division habang si Faye Jemima Domingo ng Northwestern University ang nangibabaw sa women’s division sa tiyempong 29.9 seconds.

“I reserved my energy in the last 90 meters. It’s actually my first time to compete in the 200m. My coach asked me to run because we have no entry in that event. I am happy,” Wika ng 19-year-old Ponce, na nanaig kontra Luke Salamante (25.1) at Ken David Montesa (25.3).



Ang six-foot ponce, na lumaki sa Batanes province, ay silver medalist sa 400m hurdles sa Private Schools Athletics Association National Championship sa Zamboanga City nakaraang Hunyo.

Unang dinomina nina Jaymark Balicha at Jesamae Licup ang Philippine Army category.

Balicha, na Inforamtion technology student sa Don Mariano Marcos State University sa San Fernando, La Union, nagwagi sa men’s event sa 23.46 seconds.

Licup, na BS Criminology freshman sa University of Baguio, nagreyna sa women’s division sa 26.7 seconds.

Ang ROTC Games ay nabou sa pakikipabtulungan ng Commission on Higher Education, Department of National Defense, Armed Forces of the Philippines at ang Philippine Sports Commission.
