Red Lions wagi vs Chiefs

NAGPAKITANG gilas si Bismarck Lina upang tulungan ang defending champion San Beda University na isampal ang 79-65 victory laban sa makulit na Arellano University sa National College Athletics Association (NCAA) Season 100 men’s basketball tournament sa Filoil Centre sa San Juan City Sabado.

Naglaro para kanyang third game matapos ma sidelined ng nine months dahil sa ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury, Lina ay nagdeliver ng 20 points,at seven rebounds.

Nakamit ng Red Lions ang kanilang ika-apat magkasunod na tagumpay at seventh overall sa 10 games para maangkin ang second place .

Nakaganti rin sila sa kanilang 70-72 pagkatalo sa Chief sa first round noong Setyembre 28.

“For somebody who we can rely on in the post, it’s a big thing especially to our shooters,” Wika ni San Beda coach Yuri Escueta patungkol kay Lina.

Yukien Andrada nagdagdag ng 15 points,kabilang ang apat na triples,five rebounds, at four asists; habang si Jomel Puno may 14 points at 10 rebounds para sa San Beda.

“We did a better job today. One addition was we have to respect our opponent. I think that we’re taking them lightly and we need to respect them, defend correctly,” Tugon ni Escueta.
