“The seized substances tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu. Appropriate charges are being prepared for violations of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, in relation to relevant provisions of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (RA 10863),” ani Mapa.

“The operation supports the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen border protection and intensify the government’s campaign against illegal drugs and other forms of smuggling,” dagdag pa ni Mapa.

“Under the leadership of Mapa, the bureau continues to strengthen its enforcement and inspection capabilities through close coordination with partner agencies, contributing to the BOC’s campaign to enhance border security and prevent the entry of illegal drugs and other contraband,” ani Nepomuceno.
