GINTO AT TANSO NG PILIPINO DUOS SA TAGAYTAY

NANGGULAT ang pambatong  rookie PH duos matapos hablutin ang ginto at tansong medalya  respectively sa  youth  mixed pairs event ng 10th Aerobic Gymnastics Asian Championships na inihahandog ng  Philippine Sports Commission  Huwebes ng umaga sa Tagaytay City.

   Kapwa Palarong Pambansa standouts noong nakaraang edisyon sa Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur,sina  Rhimel Daniel Cabides at Antonette Amante ay eleganteng umindak ng ginintuang piyesa ng sayaw tungo sa gold medal haul sa score na  17.80  points sa modernong Tagaytay CT Velodrome. 

   Ang ipinagmamalaki ng General Santos na sina Rhys Enoch Balmayor at John Mikaela Ladaran ay hinandugan ang bansa ng ikalawang  medalya  matapos tumersera (17.150) sa torneong suportado ng  Philippine Olympic Committee at Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. 

Ang dalawang pares na pride ng bansa ay itinodo ang lahat ng makakaya upang  mamayagpag sa torneong inorganisa ng  Gymnastics Association of the Philippines at may basbas  Asian Gymnastics Union. 

“Napatunayan namin maari kaming makapasabayan internationally,”wika ni Amante, isang  triple Palaro gold medalist, tulad ni  Cabides, ay Grade 8 Teodoro Alonzo High School student. 

“Maganda na mapakinggan yung national anthem ng Pilipinas,” dagdag ng  petite athlete habang nagbubunyi ang kanyang  teammate at classmate sa tabi niya.

   “This is all too surreal. We really did not expect it. It was only a dream ,” dagdag ni Ladaran, 11,  habang kasama sa  podium ang ka-team na Manila-based athletes. 

“I am very proud of both pairs. Naging mahirap din yung journey ng mga bata and their training so I am very happy with the result,” saad naman ni coach at dating former national team athlete  Carlo Joshua Tangonan sa gintong pares.

   “We would like to thank the GAP for the oppotunity it gave our junior athletes to show their mettle against top caliber gymnasts from Asia,” dagdag ni Tangonan,  na nag-uwi rin ng  bronze medal sa mixed pair event kapares si Charmaine Dolar noong 32nd Cambodia Southeast Asian Games. 

“Vying as the first squad among six finalists, Cabides and Amante set the tone  with their eye-popping score of 17.80 points based on the cumulative tally of difficulty, execution and artistry,”ayon pa kay coach.

Pinakamalapit na pares sa scoring ay ang  Vietnamese tandem nina Ann Thinh Tran at Ngoc Gia Ngueyen, na may 17.80 points din pero nakuntento sa silver at angat sa unahan ang Pinoy. Golden Pinoy pair MABUHAY SA TAGAYTAY!
