“The clean and green mining industry and the various companies under the Philippines new blue economy sector (beyond just fishing) may benefit from the preferential tariff reduction for our imported industrial goods and equipment from abroad. We commend the Department of Trade and Industry ( DTI) for this initiative so that Malacanang can act decisively on the matter, ” sabi ni Aragon.

Dagdag pa ng OMCPI Chairman, “since our economy has been adversely affected by the extreme covid 19 lockdowns and the geopolitical conflicts in Russia and Ukraine doing business today its not business as usual as before the pandemic. Our budding blue economy sector needs all the help we can get from our government in order for our new clean and green mining industry to prosper.”
