Sa kanyang pagdalaw sa ating national athletes na sumasabak sa 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, pinuri ni Senator Bong Go ang Philippine Olympic Committee sa timon ni Pres. Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino at ang Philippine Sports Commission na pinamumunuan ni Chairman Patrick ‘ Pato Gregorio sa kanilang ekselenteng kalinga at malasakit sa ating pambansang delegasyon.

“Nakakatuwa po, isang malaking karangalan na makasama po ang ating mga athletes at malapitan at mapanood sa kani-kanilang mga laban,” ani Go.

“Sa POC po at sa PSC, sa lahat ng mga NSAs, sports associations, salamat po sa pagtugon at pag-alaga sa ating mga atleta. Alagaan niyo sila dahil sila po ang ating mga pinagmamalaki, pinaglalaban, at sila po ang may dala ng ating bandila,” ayon sa Senate Committee on Sports chairman said while visiting different venues in Aichi-Nagoya ,Japan.
SBG expressed satisfaction in seeing that the national team is Mthoroughly protected, well-fed, and both physically and mentally prepared to fight for the Philippine flag.

Backing this high level of institutional care, Go emphasized that the newly approved national budget for sports will serve as a vital catalyst to further boost the campaign of Filipino athletes in major international competitions like the ongoing Asian Games.

“Napakahalaga po, tuwing nagko-compete po kang ating mga atleta, dapat naka-focus po ‘yan. Wala na silang dapat isipin sa pagkain, suportado dapat, equipments, kagamitan, at napaka-importante po, moral support po,” aniya.

With the The Senator also expressed strong optimism regarding the Philippines’ chances of duplicating, if not eclipsing, its impressive medal haul of 4 golds, 2 silvers, and 12 bronzes from the 2023 Hangzhou meet.
