SI Casey Velasco ang isa sa tampok sa pelikulang El Genio dela Raza (The Genius of The Race), kasama si Tanya Gomez at mula sa pamamahala ni Direk Dave Chicano Cecilio.

Inusisa namin ang16-year-old na teener ukol sa kanyang showbiz career.

Kuwento niya sa amin, “I’m an actress for about like almost three years now. My first ever project is AskTV & Kids Academy sa IBC 13 under Ms. Kat de Castro, I’m a child star and a host there.

“But bago po iyan, hinandle po ako ni Mama Ogie Diaz and mama Mel Martinez way back mid of 2019, na first ever acting workshop ko.”

Dagdag pa niya, “Ngayon po I have an upcoming film sa Hollywood. If you search my name on google, lalabas po ang film ko na The Adventures of Daniel and the Girl from Beyond. I’ll play the role of Anastasia Wingus, I’m a Filipina-British there, the daughter of Don Wingus and the mortal enemy of Millie Drake.

“And hanggang ngayon po, part din po ako ng Hollywood Winner’s Circle ni Wendy Alaine Wright, casting director of top films in Netflix, USA. Plus,  hanggang ngayon po ay nagwo-workshop pa rin po sa US thru zoom for my upcoming projects there.”

Nabanggit din niya ang kanilang pelikulang El Genio dela Raza.

Wika ni Casey, “Sa movie na El Genio De La Raza, I played the role of Olympia Mercado Rizal, sister of Dr. Jose P. Rizal and the daughter of Donya Teodora played by Tita Tanya Gomez. The story of this film is about the boyhood of Dr. Jose Rizal. Kasi kung makikita po natin, kapag nanood tayo ng mga Rizal na movie, ipinapakita na ang pakikipagdigmaan niya at pagsusulat ng mga libro. Ito po, masayang movie na ikinikuwento ang mga dinanas niya bago siya lumaki at naging si Dr. Rizal.”

Ang El Genio De La Raza ay kuwento ng pagkabata ng ating pambansang bayani na si Rizal o Pepe. Isa sa mga gumanap sa palabas na ito ay si JM Estrella bilang Pepe.

Last June 19 ay ini-release na ang official premiere ng El Genio bilang paggunita sa 160th na kaarawan ng ating pambansang bayani na si Rizal. Ilan sa mga dumalo rito ay sina Sec. Silvestre Bello III, Atty. Lynn Danao-Moreno, Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez, Justin Marc SB. Chipeco, The Philippine Historical Association head President Ma. Luisa T. Camagay PhD, Jose David Lapuz-KGCR, at si Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Talagang pride of the Malay-race ang El Genio! At ngayon ay isa sa mga makabuluhang pelikula na pinag-uusapan ng madla. Ang El Genio De La Raza ay handog ng CLIO Multimedia Production na pinangungunahan nila Dave Chicano Cecilio-KDPP, at Emmanuel Calairo-KGOR.
