Kahit binawasan ng 75 police escorts…VP SARA MAS MARAMI PARIN SECURITY KAYSA PBBM – DOJ

SA kabila ng pag-alis ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa 75 police escorts kay Vice President Sara Duterte, mayroon paring 320 security personnel na nangangalaga sa bise presidente at kanyang pamilya, mas mataas pa ang bilang na ito sa mga nakatalaga kay Presidente Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

Ito ang ibinunyag ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla sa isang press briefing sa Department of Justice (DOJ).

“She still has 320 security personnel despite the PNP pullout. That’s more than the President,” sabi ni Remulla.

Nang tanungin kung ilan ang security na nakatalaga kay Presidente Marcos, Jr, itinanggi ni Remulla na ipaalam ang eksaktong bilang, sinabing ito’y security concerns.

“We can’t discuss that. The President’s security is institutionalized by the Presidential Security Group (PSG),” paliwanag niya.

Ang komento ni Remulla ay sagot sa mga tanong tungkol sa security ni Duterte matapos aalisin ng PNP ang 75 police escort ng bise presidente para italaga sa mga lugar sa bansa na kulang sa pulis.

Sa kanyang statement noong Martes, umapela si Duterte para sa seguridad ng kanyang pamilya.

“I have only one request from you: the safety of my family. Do not allow any violence to befall my mother, husband, and four children, either in person or online. And, in any case, do not turn a blind eye to anyone who would do harm against them,” sabi niya.

Sa 2022 Commission on Audit (COA) report sa Office of the Vice President (OVP), sinabing ang Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group ni Duterte ay 433 members, mas marami sa kabuuang 683 OVP staff.

Sinabi ng pamunuan ng PNP na ni-reassign nila ang mga inalis na pulis sa OVP sa mga erya na nangangailangan ng karagdagang pulis.
