KULONG ang ang isang pampublikong guro nang maaresto sa ikinasang entrapment operation ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa Loreto, Agusan del Sur noong Miyerkoles.
Nahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165, The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, ang 29-anyos na guro, na hindi na tinukoy ng mga awtoridad ang pagkakakilanlan.
Narekober sa pag-iingat ng naturang guro ang ilang sachet ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng P10,000 at ID ng Department of Education (DepEd).
“This is particularly troubling as it involves a person in a position of trust and influence over young minds,” ayon sa PDEA-13.
“This operation underscores the government’s relentless effort to root out corruption and illegal activities, even within its own ranks. It sends a strong message that no one is above the law, and public servants are held to the highest standards of integrity and accountability. Through these actions, the government aims to restore and maintain the public’s trust and confidence in its institutions,” dagdag ng PDEA.
