Hinabol umano ang sasakyan at inabutan ang driver nito sa Macapagal Boulevard na nahaharap sa kasong reckless driving and illegal operation of a private motor vehicle for hire without LTFRB authority.

Ayon kay Capoy, “the nationwide joint law enforcement operation against colorum and overcharging taxi drivers began on June 25, 2025 and has since apprehended 165 violators of Joint Administrative Order 2014-01 and 268 violators under RA 4136. This intensified campaign, directed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. and DOTr Secretary Vince Dizon, is spearheaded by LTO Asec. Vigor D. Mendoza II and LTO SAO Head Francis Ray A. Almora. The operation aims to put an end to illegal fare practices and scams targeting passengers at airports nationwide.”

“We have been expanding our operations since we began, from initially targeting airport taxis at NAIA, to rolling out nationwide, and now even vetting TNVS units. This demonstrates our strong commitment to providing the best public service to both Filipinos and foreigners in airports across the country,” dagdag pa ni Capoy. (JERRY S. TAN/JOJO SADIWA)
